My Journey: Healing from Domestic Violence

Breaking the Silence: Domestic Violence Awareness in Military & Veteran Families

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we’re opening the door to honest conversation and connection. Domestic violence impacts military and veteran families at more than twice the national average, yet it’s often hidden by isolation, stigma, and the unique pressures of military life. In this supportive session, you’ll hear real stories from peers, get practical guidance, and find a safe space for reflection and healing.

Whether you’re questioning your relationship, supporting a friend, or seeking hope after abuse, you’ll find understanding, encouragement, and community here. We know how complex this issue can feel, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

What You'll Gain

  • Support from peers who understand domestic violence

  • Actionable resources and guidance for recognizing, responding to, and healing from abuse

  • A stronger sense of community, hope, and resilience–and information on where to turn for help
