THRC at the Community Connect Expo: Strengthening Central Texas Connection

On September 17th, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., our THRC community outreach team—Cody Gould and Marsha Burney—participated in the Community Connect Expo, hosted by the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) at the Dittmar Recreation Center in Austin, Texas.

This annual event brought together organizations and community members dedicated to supporting older adults, caregivers, and families, with roughly 150 attendees present. We were grateful for the opportunity to share THRC resources and connect with so many inspiring partners working to strengthen wellness and support systems across Central Texas.

The Community Connect Expo provided a wonderful space for our team to engage with the Travis County community about wellness and local support services. We exchanged resources, built new relationships with local organizations, and shared information about our programs and ongoing initiatives.
