THRC Attends NAMI Central Texas Speak Up 2025 Holistic Healing Summit
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the Translational Health Research Center (THRC) participated in the NAMI Central Texas Speak Up 2025: A Holistic Healing Summit in Round Rock, Texas. Held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the summit brought together community leaders, mental health advocates, and professionals for a day of education, dialogue and connection.
Representing THRC, Cittlaly Escatel and Cody Gould hosted an information table and connected with attendees throughout the event.
The summit featured sessions focused on:
Navigating mental health, justice, and community voices
Linking mental health with financial, nutritional, and faith-based support
Culturally responsive and trauma-informed healing practices
As part of THRC’s ongoing commitment to advancing health and resilience across Central Texas, the team was proud to support and learn from this important gathering. The event reinforced the value of cross-sector collaboration and culturally responsive approaches to mental health care.
